Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Machinist III to manufacture high‑precision components for energy technologies. You will work with turning and milling machines, robotics, and inspection systems to ensure product quality and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and continuous improvement. Candidates should have 1–2 years in a job shop environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
1–2 years in a job shop or high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specs; demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Determine machining setup requirements by reviewing blueprints and specs.
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions for machining operations.
Operate turning and milling machines to manufacture components to precise tolerances.
Verify conformance with precision instruments including CMMs and optical comparators.
Perform preventive maintenance on machining equipment to ensure reliability.
Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Support additional duties and continuous improvement initiatives.
