Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a skilled machinist to support die repair, maintenance, and production tasks. Responsibilities include reading prints, setting up machines, inspecting parts, and maintaining tooling and inventories.

The role requires precise measurement skills, experience with lathes, mills, grinders, and a strong adherence to safety and working standards. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

  • High School or Trade School Graduate.
  • Machine Shop experience preferred.
  • Strong mathematic skills a must.
  • Ability to read blue prints.
  • Ability to read a measuring tape.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds along with some bend lifting and twisting.

Responsibilities

  • Works from prints, specifications, charts, formulae, drawings, sketches, written and verbal orders, instructions, and requests.
  • Uses precision measuring instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances; instruments include micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and gauges.
  • Performs inspections using micrometers, calipers, scales, and indicators.
  • Sets up and operates machinery and equipment such as drill presses, grinders, lathes, and milling machines.
  • Selects and sharpens tools, cutters, holders, jigs, fixtures, etc.
  • Adjusts speeds, feeds, travel of parts; sets stops, limits, guides.
  • Disassembles, grinds, and reassembles components; replaces parts as needed.
  • Maintains inventory of commonly used parts and tools; informs supervisor of low inventories.
