Job summary

Blanchard Machinery Company is seeking a skilled Machinist to fabricate and repair components in a shop setting. The role involves handling machining operations, welding/fabrication, and interpreting prints to maintain critical dimensions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years welding/fabricating experience in heavy equipment.
• Ability to read prints/view dimensions and samples to repair/assemble metal parts.

Responsibilities

• Use stationary boring equipment and various tooling to meet job needs.
• Maintain and operate machining equipment and perform pipe beveling, line boring, flange facing.
• Identify gearing, bearings, seals, bushings, hydraulics as needed.
• Assemble components with power and hand tools.
• Re-machine parts to repair and maintain dimensions.
• Fabricate and modify defective parts as required.
• Inspect work for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Ensure proper tolerances and defect-free finished product.
• Maintain and clean portable machining and welding equipment.
• Contribute to a safe, positive work environment and company values.
• Complete duties safely and assist with other tasks as needed.
