Qualifications

• The candidate has technical schooling or apprenticeship in machining, or a machining certification.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings is required.
• Experience with CNC and manual machining is preferred.
• Ability to read precision drawings and measure tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and CNC equipment.
• Manufacture, repair, and modify machine parts and tooling.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings and follow work instructions.
• Select tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and methods.
• Measure and inspect with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
• Maintain tolerances and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to OSHA policies.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
