Job summary

National Beef in Liberal, Kansas is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards. You will read blueprints, select tooling, perform tool changes and part alignment, measure parts with micrometers and calipers, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years’ experience as a machinist (level dependent).
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of Haas controls and CNC processes.
• Experience machining steel, stainless, aluminum, and plastics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Read blueprints and work instructions; select tooling.
• Measure and inspect parts with precision tools.
• Maintain safe working practices and clean work area.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust for fit and finish.
