Job summary

The Bradbury Co., Inc. is seeking skilled Machinists (CNC & Manual) for 2nd shift in Moundridge, KS. The role uses manual and CNC tools to produce precision components, reading blueprints and work-orders with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Training may occur on 1st shift for several months. Competitive hourly pay with a 10% shift premium and benefits are offered. Employees work 3:30 pm–2:00 am, Monday–Thursday, with 10-hour shifts and a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
Basic shop math skills including fractions and decimals.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision metal components.
Interpret blueprints, orders, setup sheets, and manufacturing documentation.
Determine tooling, machine settings, feeds, speeds, and sequence of operations.
Plan layouts according to engineering drawings and tolerances.
Machine parts to required tolerances and specifications.
Verify quality using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and inspection tools.
Perform basic machine maintenance and keep areas clean and organized.
Move materials safely using forklifts, hoists, cranes, etc.
Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
