Job summary

The Grasshopper Company is hiring a Fabrication CNC Brake Operator for the 2nd shift in Moundridge, KS. The role requires experience with brake presses, basic metalwork, and reading blueprints. You will operate CNC brakes, set up tooling, and ensure parts meet tolerances in a team-oriented shop environment.

Qualifications

• Previous metal work experience is required.
• Brake press experience is required.
• Ability to set up and program bends on a CNC brake within given tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program multiple bends in material from .050 in. to .250 in. on a CNC Brake.
• Set dies, measure clearances and adjust the CNC Brake to tolerances.
• Lift parts onto the work area for forming or shearing operations.
• Read and form parts from blueprints and other instructions.
• Learn to operate other metalworking equipment such as punches, presses, shears and CNC-controlled tools.
• Follow safe operating procedures and maintain accurate part counts.
