Job summary

Erickson Incorporated in Medford, Oregon is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate conventional and CNC machinery for manufacturing and repairing parts. Responsibilities include interpreting GD&T, reading blueprints, performing precise measurements, and following shop practices.

The role progresses through Level I–III with increasing complexity, from basic setups to multi-axis and advanced repairs.

Qualifications

• Level I requires 1–2 years of machining experience preferred and basic blueprint/GD&T understanding.
• Level II requires 3–5 years of machining experience; proficient with GD&T and precision measuring tools.
• Level III requires 5+ years of machining and setup experience; capable of 4/5 axis setups and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, GD&T, and specifications to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
• Performs machine setups and operates manual and CNC machines (drill press, mill, lathe, etc.).
• Reads internal procedures and engineering documents and initiates machining tip sheets.
• Repairs parts and manufactures basic tooling; may train junior machinists.
