Job summary

American Orthodontics in Wisconsin seeks a skilled machinist to fabricate and assemble precision tooling parts. You will set up and operate lathes, EDM and milling machines, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and modify tooling to meet specifications.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, basic CAD/blueprint reading, and the ability to stand 8–10 hours with occasional heavy lifting. Formal training is a plus. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal training is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches or CAD files.
• Stand for 8–10 hours daily.
• Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts from prints and models.
• Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances using measuring instruments.
• Set up and operate machining equipment (lathes, EDM, milling, grinders, drills, saws).
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair or modify tooling.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
• Perform additional responsibilities to meet business objectives.
