Job summary

ORAFOL Americas in West Henrietta, NY is seeking an entry-level associate to join the precision technology tool room on the second shift. This full-time, on-site role focuses on learning to set up and operate equipment to produce exact finishes on metals, plastics, and other materials.

You will use measuring instruments, work with lathes, milling machines and grinders, and grow with a program that emphasizes safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Some knowledge of optics preferred.
• 0-2 years experience in precision machining.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment to produce specified dimensions and finishes.

Essential Functions

• Learn to set up and operates the proper equipment to produce specified dimensions and finishes on a wide range of metals, alloys, plastics, wood and other materials.
• Learn to use all measuring instruments and works to close tolerances.
• Learn to use such machines as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, etc.
• Willingness to work overtime when required and with short notice. This is a day shift position.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Additional Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed safety guidelines in accordance to ORAFOL Americas Safety program; use required PPE
• Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOLs Quality Program
