SpaceX is seeking a Machining Technician on the Starlink Ultra Precision Machining team. The role focuses on non-machine-operating tasks such as cleaning, testing, assembly, metrology, and inspection of micron-level components at production volumes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of experience using precision tools and metrology equipment.
• Experience under a quality system with defined requirements.
• Experience with micron- or sub-micron tolerance parts.
• Experience in electro-mechanical or precision manufacturing.
• Experience operating CMM or other metrology equipment.
• Experience with data entry and work tracking systems.
• Exposure to precision machining or diamond turning environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow defined work instructions, process controls, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain maximum work center uptime by identifying off-nominal issues and reporting them.
• Perform cleaning, testing, assembly, inspection, and related support tasks.
• Use metrology equipment including CMMs and optical microscopes.
• Perform data entry and work tracking with effective communication.
• Suggest process improvements and efficiency opportunities to leadership.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment according to guidelines.
