Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with manufacturers in Montague, MI to recruit a Setup Technician who can perform mechanical and electrical setup, calibration, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. A strong focus on safety and documentation is required.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing, and proficiency with blueprints, schematics, and hand tools. CMMS experience and PLC familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using hand and power tools; precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage equipment and materials per production schedules.
• Perform mechanical and electrical setup of machinery.
• Calibrate and test equipment for proper function and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot setup-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize setup processes.
• Document setup procedures and equipment specs.
