Job summary

Paumac Tubing Llc is seeking a Machine Set-Up Technician to ensure tooling and equipment are set up correctly and run to quality and efficiency standards. Your role includes adjusting machines, inspecting tooling, and coordinating with departments to maintain safety and organization on the shop floor.

You'll perform setup, operation, and basic diagnostic tasks, keep accurate paperwork, and support continuous improvement while adhering to all company policies.

Qualifications

• Sets up and operates tools, machinery per instructions.
• Observes and verifies quality performance of machines.
• Maintains safe and clean work area; follows safety rules.
• Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates tools, machinery according to instructions and specifications.
• Selects, places, and secures tools.
• Places and secures work pieces in machine surfaces using clamps and wrenches.
• Observes each machine to verify quality performance.
• Sets and adjusts controls to regulate machine performance.
• Inspects tooling and repairs or replaces as needed.
• Determine whether machinery works according to specs (fixtures, speeds, feed rates).
• Report issues to supervisor and communicate during status meetings.
• Maintain equipment in safe condition and ensure safety.
• Ensure work is done safely, meets quality standards.
• Identify, tag and remove non-conforming materials.
• Complete paperwork timely and accurately.
• Communicate with other departments as necessary.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Adhere to company rules and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
