Responsibilities include selecting and securing tools, preparing fixtures, monitoring machine performance, verifying gauges, and aiding maintenance; starting salary of $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• At least 1 year of machine operator experience required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
• Study blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.
• Select, place, and secure tools.
• Place and secure workpieces in the proper machine table, holding device, or other surface using clamps and wrenches.
• Prepare fixtures and feeding devices, start machine, and engage feed.
• Observe each machine to verify quality performance.
• Verify measuring instruments are in proper working order.
• Set and adjust necessary controls to regulate machines.
• Sharpen tools with a bench grinder as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
