Job summary

AtWork, a mid-sized manufacturer in Winston-Salem, is seeking a Machine Operator to support precision production and quality control on the shop floor. You will operate and monitor machines, set up equipment, and follow safety procedures to keep workflows efficient.

The role requires basic math, ability to use calipers and micrometers, and the stamina to stand for long shifts. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred and opportunities for growth exist.

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to use dial calipers, snap gages, and micrometers.
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to be on their feet for several hours.
  • Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks.
  • Basic understanding of machining principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor various types of machines.
  • Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper functioning.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Use hand tools and other equipment as necessary to perform job duties.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications.
