Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Machine Operator in Billings, MT to set up and operate heavy machinery for cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing of building components. Responsibilities include handling orders safely, assisting teammates, inspecting materials and equipment, and keeping accurate ERP records.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pace - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication - Effective communication abilities.
• Physical Stamina - Ability to lift and move heavy items, often requiring the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Attention to Detail - Ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is managed correctly.
• Organizational Skills - Efficiently organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Teamwork - Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage
• Assist co-workers and customers
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment
• Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas
• Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
