Job summary

Pacific Staffing, LLC in Canby, OR is seeking a Back Production Machine Operator (Day Shift) on a temp-to-hire basis. The starting pay is $22 per hour, with growth potential to $40/hour, and the schedule runs 6:00am–4:30pm with Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday shifts.

The role involves setting up and running production machines to produce precision parts, reading blueprints, logging production data, and ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is required with hands-on mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is preferred.
• Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators).
• Basic computer skills for production logging and documentation.
• Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Advanced skills are a plus: CNC programming, lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, cutoff saw experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production machines to produce precision parts
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
• Measure parts and log production data using computer systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Complete daily production and quality control logs
• Follow SQC practices and control charts to maintain product specifications
• Perform equipment/part changeovers as skills progress
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Communicate effectively across shifts
• Occasionally operate forklift to maintain raw material supply
