Job summary

Barrday Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to safely run production equipment in a 12-hour rotation. This full-time role supports a self-directed team and requires basic data entry and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years in manufacturing or machine operations. The role offers training, safety focus, and opportunities for overtime in a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operate, start up, clean up, and shut down production machines per SOPs.
• Stage material with barcodes and maintain inventories during runs.
• Set equipment settings according to customer/product requirements.
• Follow precise test procedures as outlined in Barrday documents.
• Operate hoist and pallet jack and perform daily inspections.
• Enter production and quality data into data systems during runs.
• Visually inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues with support as needed.
• Raise NCRs for non-conforming materials and coordinate with Quality/Engineering.
• Package, label, and place finished products for shipping.
• Provide production/changeover reports to shift supervisors.
• Maintain 5S and lean practices in daily activities.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and ready for next shift.
• Promote a safe work environment and address unsafe conditions.
