Responsibilities

• Plan and perform a wide range of precision internal/external setups.
• Maintain a setup proficiency in a minimum of one operation group.
• Work from part drawings, process sequence sheets and setup charts.
• Select proper tooling and mount, dress or true grinding wheels.
• Cycle machine to produce test pieces, check parts and adjust machines.
• Inspect components to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
• Gage components using applicable gaging techniques.
• Visually sample pieces for finish and surface quality.
• Instruct and lend technical assistance to assigned operators.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and comply with safety procedures.
• Report operating difficulties and maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain process documentation.
