Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Machine Assembler in Connecticut to build high-precision machinery. You will assemble mechanical components, read drawings, and ensure parts meet quality standards in a hands-on role.

You will use torque wrenches, dial indicators, and other precision tools, work with lean principles, and collaborate with a skilled team to hit production goals while maintaining safety and organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of assembly or 5 years in manufacturing of machine tool parts, maintenance, or service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without aid and perform repetitive reaching and bending.
• Familiarity with documentation, drawings, and part lists.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Skilled in using accurate measuring devices with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with electrical wiring assembly and computer literacy preferred.
• Forklift license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and machines according to engineering drawings, part lists, blueprints, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
• Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels to achieve tolerances.
• Operate overhead cranes to move heavy components safely during the assembly process.
• Follow Quality Standards and accurately measure in both imperial (inch) and metric systems.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area in accordance with lean manufacturing principles.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently.
• Provide feedback and input to support continuous process improvements.
