Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Process and Applications Engineering team in advancing metal additive manufacturing for medical customers.

This hands-on role translates part designs and process requirements into repeatable print builds while maintaining equipment readiness, process control, and traceable documentation. The hours for this role are Friday–Sunday and every other Thursday 6pm-6am, and the successful candidate will operate LPBF printers, run

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in additive manufacturing or a hands-on production environment.
• Familiarity with 3D printing concepts; LPBF experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed work instructions.
• Willingness to work hands-on in manufacturing and learn complex equipment.
• Clear communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain LPBF printers for development and production.
• Prepare print jobs using internal printer software, including build setup and parameter selection.
• Support applications development by executing print builds on schedule.
• Assist with printer qualification and validation activities (IQ, SAT, OQ, PQ).
• Monitor print quality and address issues related to machine performance or materials.
