Job summary

Electro Chemical Manufacturing LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Lining Technician to install and weld fluoropolymer sheet linings inside steel vessels for corrosion protection, while maintaining a strong safety culture and adhering to company guidelines. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, basic measurement skills, and the ability to read drawings.

Proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint is expected; travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to take precise measurements and use basic hand tools.
• Experience reading drawings/blueprints preferred.
• Experience with plastic welding is a plus.
• Must follow safety procedures and be safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operates plastic welding gun and hand tools; uses shop machines.
• Installs plastic sheets; welds linings into steel vessels.
• Inspects welds for structural accuracy and adherence to specs.
• Cuts sheets to create smooth edges; uses grinders and sanding equipment.
• Trowels epoxy to bond sheets; uses hot-air guns as needed.
• Maintains welding specs; adjusts and resets equipment; replaces worn tools.
• Maintains safety standards and uses protective gear.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
