Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Machine Operator I to join our Vision manufacturing line in Jacksonville, FL. You will set up, operate, monitor, and maintain equipment used to produce intraocular lenses, following GMP and safety procedures to ensure quality products.

You will work across shifts A–D, perform line clearance, log equipment data, and collaborate with team members to sustain a clean, compliant production environment and on-time product delivery.

Qualifications

• Technical certification from an accredited institution in electronics, electricity, refrigeration, mechanics, or a related discipline.
• Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• At least one year of general work experience; manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment to process lens production orders.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality; take corrective action as needed.
• Perform equipment checks, tests, measurements, and parameter adjustments.
• Record production orders, logs, and system transactions accurately.
• Follow GMP, safety, and environmental requirements at all times.
• Area-specific: operate PEG & consumables per EHS requirements.
