Job summary

Valley Rubber is hiring a Laser Table Operator to perform laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing needs. The role requires operating Trumpf/Amada CNC laser equipment, loading materials with jib cranes, setting up cuts, deburring, and performing inspections.

The candidate should have 1+ years of laser cutting experience, know lens selection, shield gases, and be able to read tape measures. Strong attendance and teamwork are essential for success in a fast-paced workshop.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience on Trumpf, Amada or similar CNC laser cutting machines
• Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness
• Knowledge about shield gases used during laser cutting operation
• Proven measurement and decimal conversion skills
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure (standard & metric) and follow directions
• Outstanding punctuality and attendance

Responsibilities

• Maintain production records using computer systems to track cost, efficiency, inventory and integrity
• Set proper stop location and adjust laser beam focal point
• Load sheet/plate material onto table using jib crane and sheet lifter
• Set up cutting operations
• Remove cut parts from skeleton
• Deburr and remove sharp edges
• Perform prescribed maintenance as required
• Perform dimensional inspections
• Detect and report defective materials to supervisor
• Maintain clean working area and housekeeping
