Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a laboratory technician to turn field samples into precise numbers for project use. You’ll work within a documented AASHTO R18 quality system with calibrated equipment and real accountability for every result that leaves the lab.

You will perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing, maintain calibration and quality records, log samples, break cylinders, and report results the same day.

Qualifications

• Careful hands, clean documentation habits, mechanical aptitude.
• Prior lab or CMT experience a plus, not required — we train.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work done right every time.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing.
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records.
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody.
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day.
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments.
