Job summary

Contec Inc. in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Knitting Technician to keep knit equipment functional and perform preventative maintenance.

You will handle daily mechanical upkeep, troubleshooting, repairs, lubrication cycles, and quality assurance to support production. Responsibilities include re-needling circular knit equipment, maintaining maintenance files, adjusting fabric weights, cam arrangements, and operating machines for production as needed; working with small parts and following safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Understanding knit terminology and single jersey machines.
• Knowledge of mechanics related to knit equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily mechanical upkeep, troubleshooting, repairs and quality functions inclusive of lubrication cycles and quality assurance.
• Performs re-needling of circular knit equipment and maintaining task files for maintenance of equipment.
• Determines and changes fabric weights and maintains knowledge of this work.
• Performs cam arrangements on knit equipment.
• Operates machines for production purposes, if needed.
• Others may be assigned.
