Job summary

The City of Raleigh Police Department is seeking an experienced Inventory and Warehouse Technician for a non-sworn administrative role responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment and supplies.

You will manage stock records, perform inventory, and assist internal departments while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. Heavy lifting and physical tasks are expected, with focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 0-1 year in warehouse/inventory acceptable.
• Experience with inventory records and databases preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
• Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
• Unload trucks and store articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves.
• Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
• Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
• Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
• Maintains inventory, stock records and equipment.
• Records part issues on windows database.
