Job summary

DWK Life Sciences GmbH is seeking an Instrument Assembly Technician for its Millville, NJ facility. The role involves assembling laboratory equipment on the shop floor or in a clean room environment, ensuring conformance to specifications and documentation standards.

You will perform electrical and mechanical assembly, review blueprints and manufacturing orders, test units, and assist with lean improvements while maintaining safety and quality guidelines in a production setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or military equivalent required.
• One (1) year light manufacturing environment preferred.
• Mechanical and electro-mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical assembly of laboratory equipment.
• Basic knowledge of DWK business, products, systems and operations.
• Fits and assembles parts or machines into complete assembly.
• Packaging, palletizing and labeling finished product for stock.
• Test operation of unit(s) to ensure functionality and performance; coordinate with supervisor for sign-off and records.
• Downloads software as required for assembly and performs computer testing of unit to specifications.
• Review manufacturing orders for quantity, steps, testing and inspection; ensure accuracy of blueprints and routings.
• Collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues and maintain production efficiency.
• Promote safety and housekeeping; participate in lean improvements and ISO/EHS policies.
