Job summary

Amsted Rail – Griffin Wheel in Keokuk, IA, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Millwright to install, align, troubleshoot, and rebuild heavy machinery on a state-of-the-art foundry floor.

You will work on gearboxes, conveyors, monorails, and bulk handling equipment, with blueprints in hand and strict safety procedures. Applicants should bring a self-directed work style, attention to detail, and forklift certification; five years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience preferred, with strong mechanical skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and install/align components to spec.
• Welding and fabrication skills for mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, dismantle, and reassemble machinery across sites.
• Precision fitting of bearings, gears, shafts, motors, and couplings.
• Welding, fabrication, rigging, and lifts to access equipment at height.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; log preventive maintenance data.
• Read blueprints and apply mechanical design fundamentals.
