Job summary

Metro Services is seeking a Hydromat/CNC Set-Up Operator for a manufacturing client in Livonia, MI. This contract role features a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Hourly pay ranges from $21.00 to $25.00 plus per diem, with opportunity to learn Hydromat tooling and perform setup tasks on CNC equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience reading blueprints, working with precision measurement tools, and a solid understanding of quality standards and inspection practices.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong measurement skills with micrometers, calipers and basic gauges.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand part-specific blueprints, dimensions, and production specifications.
• Set up and operate Hydromat and CNC equipment according to work instructions and charts.
• Change Hydromat/CNC tooling and machine offsets as required for production.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical inspection equipment.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Hydromat/CNC equipment.
• Record production and quality information and communicate concerns to staff.
• Follow LEAP/5S and HSE procedures to ensure safe operations.
