Job summary

Bodycote in Fremont, CA seeks a Heat Treating Technician (Levels C/B/A) to perform heat treatment under supervision. Training may occur on 1st shift; hours are 1:00pm–9:30pm, Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading furnaces, monitoring equipment, and maintaining safety practices. Qualification requirements include a high school diploma, metallurgy knowledge, English communication, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, and baskets.
• Operate, control, and monitor heat treating equipment as required.
• Promote safety and good housekeeping in the shop.
• Report unusual problems or irregularities to supervisor.
• Care for customer inventory and perform duties safely and responsibly.
