Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support basic clinical studies at the IPPH department. You will manage participant enrollment and consent, collect data and biospecimens, and perform wet lab tasks while ensuring adherence to study protocols.

You will coordinate with the study team to document results, maintain data quality, and assist with administrative tasks under supervision. This is a temporary staff position with on-site duties at the Chicago campus.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in clinical research and biospecimen handling is advantageous.
• Phlebotomy and wet-lab processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect biometric data and biospecimens, including blood draws.
• Introduce and consent participants for the study.
• Administer tests and questionnaires per protocol.
• Package and ship samples per protocol and safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, IRB, FDA CFR, ICH guidelines.
• Maintain detailed results records and prepare charts/graphs.
• Prepare visit charts and set up exam rooms; ensure QC checks.
• Support with administrative tasks and sponsor QA reviews.
