Qualifications

• Basic reading is necessary for pulling product-identifying information from tickets.
• Knowledge of parts, specifications, finishes, wood, and physical dimensions.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience removing wood fibers and applying sanding materials to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Smooths wood surface prep prior to finishing using sandpaper.
• Hand sanding operation: checks labels, inspects parts, applies sanding technique, ensures quality.
• Inspects work for quality and assists coworkers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
