Job summary

Amsted Rail Petersburg is seeking a Precision Grinding Quality Inspector to ensure parts meet print specifications. You will verify first-pieces using calibrated gauges, measure critical dimensions, and record inspection data in the company system, flagging any nonconformances.

During shifts you support setup with attachments, assist with changeovers, and help in other areas such as equipment operation, packing, or material handling, while upholding Amsted Rail's safety and environmental

Qualifications

Ability to measure dimensions to print and specs using gauges per the quality plan.
Able to lift 10–50 lbs.
Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment is a plus.
Able to pass pre-employment drug & background screening.
Follow safety, ergonomics, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Verify first-piece against print and specifications using calibrated gauges.
Measure dimensions of machined/fabricated parts and record inspection data.
Flag nonconformances and notify Supervisors.
Assist setup personnel with changeovers and attachments across lines/cells.
Record inspection data in the company system.
Perform other duties including equipment operation, packing, and material handling.
