Job summary

Lawrence Brothers Inc is seeking a Corner Grinder to grind, smooth, and finish welded metal components to meet quality and customer specs in a manufacturing welding environment.

The role requires safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced shop; you will operate angle grinders, inspect parts, and support welders while maintaining clean, organized work areas and following PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or metal finishing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience operating angle grinders or similar hand tools preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate pneumatic and electric angle grinders and finishing tools to remove weld spatter, sharp edges, burrs, and excess material.
• Grind and blend welds to meet quality and cosmetic standards.
• Inspect welded parts for defects and notify the supervisor of quality concerns.
• Safely move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead cranes.
• Perform routine inspections of grinding equipment and notify maintenance of any issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
• Assist welders and other production personnel as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
