Dynomax Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer of high-precision machined components, tooling, and automation systems.

We seek an experienced Tool Maker / Precision Grinder to join our manufacturing team and produce components for custom automation and machines on the Mitsui Surface Grinder. The role involves interpreting specifications, setting up and operating tool room equipment, fitting and assembling parts, and collaborating with engineers on prototyping and repairs to ensure products meet

Qualifications

Proficiency in manual surface grinding.
Ability to hold tight tolerances and read GD&T.
Experience reading blueprints and planning operations.
Experience with manual milling and turning equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Visualize and compute dimensions and tolerances of assemblies from specs.
Study blueprints/specifications and use GD&T to plan operations.
Machining and setup on tool room equipment (milling, surface grinders, lathes).
Verify dimensions and clearances with calipers, micrometers, indicators, or microscopes.
Perform polishing, filing, grinding, shimming, adjusting to fit and finish parts.
Select metals and alloys for components.
Conduct test runs to ensure parts meet specs and adjust as needed.
Collaborate with engineers for prototyping and repairs.
