Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is seeking a Machine Grind Operator II to set up and operate robotized top and bottom grinding, ER, and ELB equipment while ensuring parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards.

You will develop basic CNC programs, adjust parameters, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within a safe, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, specs and work instructions.
• Operates CNC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
• Familiar with quality inspection methods and precision measuring devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude; committed to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate robotized grinding equipment per work instructions and specs.
• Develop and modify basic CNC programs for production needs.
• Adjust machine parameters and perform robot calibrations.
• Verify process capability using SPC and other controls.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area and support continuous improvement.
