Watson Custom Tanks is seeking a Class B Grinder Operator to grind, finish, and repair welded vessel components to exact cosmetic and quality standards. This role emphasizes teamwork within a fast-growing stainless steel fabrication environment.

You will grind seams, remove marks, perform surface prep, select grinding wheels, and document QC data while following safety procedures. Shift: Mon-Thu 7am-5:30pm; Pay: $26-28/hr.

Qualificações

• P.T. Certified Intermediate blueprint/spec interpretation.
• Experience maintaining grinding equipment and wheels.
• Detail-driven, quality-focused, and team-oriented.
• Professional, respectful communication with coworkers and customers.

Responsabilidades

• Precision grind head-to-shell seams and blended welds (up to 180 grit / 30 Ra max).
• Remove arc marks, gouges, digs, lumps, and hook marks; restore cosmetic and structural integrity.
• Perform surface prep, seam blending, and post-treatment repairs (including re-dye checks).
• Grind internal/external cylindrical, tapered, flat, conical surfaces; select wheels, speeds, feeds, and fixtures.
• Complete QC documentation (traveler lines), support P.T. and repair work as needed.
• Work safely with hand tools, lifts/hoists, and occasionally in confined spaces; follow PPE and safety procedures.
