JSW Steel USA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grinder to support our manufacturing operations in Baytown, Texas.

The role involves operating grinding, lapping, honing, deburring, and cutting equipment, setting up machines, and securing materials. You will inspect finished parts and maintain tooling inventory.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and at least 6 months of surface grinding experience, with the ability to read tape measures and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding, lapping, honing, deburring, shearing, and cutting equipment according to specifications.
• Set up machines by computing indexing and adjusting controls for required dimensions.
• Lift and position workpieces manually or with hoists; securely fasten materials to machine tables.
• Mount and align tools in chucks, spindles, and other holding devices using hand tools.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure product quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products to ensure conformance with specifications.
