Hopkinton, MA
Full-Time | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Monday–Friday
$22–$60/hr (Based on experience level)

PI (Physik Instrumente) is hiring a Precision Grinder to join our advanced manufacturing team in Hopkinton, MA. Work on ultra-precise, low-volume parts used in air bearing systems for aerospace, photonics, semiconductors, and other high-tech applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Okamoto surface grinders to achieve extreme flatness and dimensional accuracy
• Work from blueprints to complete grinding tasks independently
• Support both prototype and low-volume production work
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify tolerances
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems and 5S practices

What You Bring:

• Experience with precision surface grinding and machining concepts
• Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
• Ability to work independently and meet production targets
• Familiarity with cylindrical grinding a plus
• High school diploma or GED required

Pay Ranges by Skill Level:

• Level 1: $22–$32/hr
• Level 2: $28–$38/hr
• Level 3: $34–$45/hr
• Level 4: $40–$60/hr
