Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor melting units, forehearths, and related equipment.
• Record readings (optical, thermocouple, amperage, voltage) and adjust for process control.
• Maintain temperatures, gas/air pressure, and material flow to ensure glass quality and quantity.
• Install and adjust components and manage electrode and burner maintenance as needed.
• Support apprentices and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.
