Job summary

Cessna Aircraft Company seeks a Gear Cut & Grind (Machinist Intern) for the 1st shift to join its precision gear production team. You will set up and operate gear cutters, grinders, shavers, and related equipment to produce spiral bevel, helical, and hypoid gears with tight tolerances.

Ideal candidates have two years of gear manufacturing experience or equivalent technical education, and can work under ITAR/EAR guidelines. U.S. person status is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Two years of gear manufacturing experience or equivalent technical education.
• Ability to set up and operate gear cutting and grinding equipment.
• ITAR/EAR compliance; U.S. person required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate gear manufacturing equipment to produce gears and splines.
• Test and check gears using gear testing and checking machines.
• Maintain tight tolerances on machined parts.
• Support development of new gears and gear cutting processes.
