Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Quality Calibration Technician I for the 1st shift in New Hampshire. The role focuses on supporting gage calibration requirements and testing measuring instruments to ensure conformance to standards.

You will learn to use precision measuring tools and calibration software, assist engineers, and maintain calibration records while contributing to a safe, productive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum inspection experience should be equivalent to a Mechanical/Dimensional Inspector, Level 1 or greater.
  • Basic working knowledge of GD&T is required.
  • Must be able to use calibration software such as Gage Trak.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, in English, both verbally and in written form.

Responsibilities

  • Set up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
  • Disassemble gages and instruments and inspect components for defects.
  • Measure parts for conformity with specifications.
  • Reassemble and calibrate gages and instruments.
  • Provide both efficient and accurate performance of routine mechanical gage calibrations including maintenance of calibration records.
  • Assist engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and strive to find solutions.
  • Seek and act upon ways to improve daily work processes to enhance productivity.
  • Participate in 5S Workplace activities, maintaining the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
