Job summary

OhioMeansJobs Highland County is hiring a warehouse associate to pick, stage, and fulfill customer orders with a focus on accuracy and safety. You will validate orders, assist customers, and connect them with the right team members.

You will also operate forklift and related equipment with proper certification and support inventory integrity daily. The role emphasizes teamwork, excellent communication, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced retail or hardware environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of computer use (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
• 6 months of experience using common retail technology (smartphones, tablets).
• Powered equipment certification: Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck required (if not already certified).

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time; keep staging areas clean and safe.
• Deliver high-quality service by selecting items, validating orders, answering questions, and connecting customers with the right associates.
• Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment and follow all safety requirements.
• Support inventory accuracy using the Orders App, maintain SIMS compliance, and work with leadership to resolve short picks.
• Complete administrative and readiness tasks such as audits, order follow-ups, and locker management; report safety or theft concerns.
• Achieve daily duties with a customer-first mindset and strong communication and teamwork.
• May be assigned other duties to support business needs.
