Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Centerville, IA is seeking an Assembler II - Framing to join the Operations team. You will read blueprints and job orders, assemble electrical wiring circuits, mounts, and sheet metal parts, and operate drills and screw guns to build equipment.

You will work with hand and power tools, interpret gauging data, and maintain quality and safety on the production line. The role requires a team player who learns quickly and adapts to multiple stations as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with measuring devices and gauging.
• Ability to work at multiple workstations as needed.
• Commitment to safety and keeping the work area clean.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, text or drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components.
• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials.
• Assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, coils, controls, and recording devices.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts using drill, screw gun and related tools.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the product line.
• Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
• Use information on material gauging and dimensioning.
• Read rulers, tape measures and other measuring instruments.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.
• Use proper safety equipment for each operation.
