Job summary

Roger Wood Foods, a Sigma company, is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install manufacturing equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

You will support safety, quality, and productivity goals in a fast-paced food production environment, focusing on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and GMP/sanitation compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, manuals, and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes of mechanical issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Install and adjust mechanical and structural components as needed.
• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify proper operation.
• Lubricate, clean, and inspect machinery to maximize reliability and performance.
• Work with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including 120V, 208V, and 480V circuits.
• Follow all company safety, GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) compliance and certification requirements.
• Support SQF maintenance program requirements and documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
