CCL Label Inc. in the United States seeks a Folder Technician to operate and maintain large and small format folders, set up folds, adjust tensions, and monitor quality to meet GMP standards. You will handle round pile feeders or friction feeders and support production goals.

Candidates read rulers to 1/64 inch, follow SOPs, train coworkers, and work safely with equipment like bar code readers and jam detectors. High school diploma required; folder experience preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Reads a ruler to 1/64 inch with accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English for SOPs and forms.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to oversee multiple machines and maintain workflow.
• Ensure quality checks per SOPs and GMP compliance.
• Familiar with rulers, calipers, gauges, and assorted hand tools.
• Interpersonal skills to interface with colleagues across departments.
• Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving abilities.
• Manages time effectively to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain folders at multiple stations.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on folders.
• Set up fold plates, adjust tensions, and tune glue heads and knives.
• Follow GMP requirements and complete job paperwork accurately.
• Read job jackets and customer specs; implement instructions.
• Monitor equipment (barcode readers, jam detectors, double sheet detectors).
• Train coworkers as production needs arise.
• Ensure safe operation and adherence to production goals.
• Support loading, catching, and finishing inventory as needed.
• Adapt to overtime and flexible hours as required.
