Mittera is seeking a Folder Operator in the US to operate folding equipment and produce a range of folds from standard to complex on various stocks. The role emphasizes meeting established speeds, quality standards, and quantity requirements.

You will review job specs, communicate with crew, set up equipment, and maintain accurate counts and logs. A high school diploma and strong reading/comprehension skills are required, with bilingual communication a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions and job tickets.
• Knowledge of mechanical folder setup.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Strong analytical and computer skills.
• Ability to direct crew and communicate clearly; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review job specs to determine page sequence, fold type, page size, and packing requirements.
• Communicate job details with team members to ensure correct execution.
• Set up and run standard folds on standard paper stock.
• Run complex folds, including PI folds and folds on difficult stock.
• Preset side guides, fold plates, and blades; handle slitting, scoring, or perforating as needed.
• Jog and load paper onto the feeder and maintain quality and speed.
• Log folded signatures for next operation or shipment as needed.
• Operate two or more machines simultaneously when required.
• Record counts in data collection systems and logs.
• Raise questions to supervisor before starting a job.
• Tag skids and ensure material reaches correct destination.
