Job summary

CP Flex Pack is seeking a Press Operator to convert raw materials into finished printed products. The role ensures customer requirements are met while upholding quality and job parameters expected by CP Flex Pack.

The position emphasizes meeting production goals, setup and operation of printing presses, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strict SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Experience with wide-web flexographic printing.
• Experience with Uteco, W&H, Bobst, PCMC, or F&K presses.
• Understanding of color charts and sample checks.
• Knowledge of color laydown and overprint.
• Ability to read and interpret docket information.
• Analytical thinking for print quality.
• Experience operating a printing press.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Meet quality and production goals.
• Load, position and adjust unprinted materials on equipment.
• Set up and operate the press; verify job against samples.
• Adjust machines to improve print quality and alignment.
• Review job orders for quantities, times, colors, and specs.
• Monitor printing process to maintain standards and address malfunctions.
• Operate at required speeds for ink coverage and registration.
• Assist press helper with material loading/unloading.
• Collaborate with supervisor to reduce waste; meet deadlines.
