Job summary

CT&C Fabrication is seeking a skilled fitter to assemble parts according to drawings and specifications. You will read blueprints, lay out, fit, and weld components for a variety of structural, plate, and mechanical assemblies.

Strong manual dexterity, safety awareness, and ability to interpret plans are essential. Responsibilities include handling materials, verifying clearances, grinding, burning, and finishing assemblies per notes.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and plans the fitting operation.
• Ability to layout lines or fits for positioning material and check connections.
• Proficiency in welding and finishing techniques used in assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and notes for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints and prints work orders.
• Directs and assists in handling and assembling materials according to detail drawings.
• Follows layout and fits up jigs for positioning material; checks connections.
• Burns, tack welds, and prepares material; grinds and cleans as needed.
• Maintains clean and organized work area and adheres to safety rules.
